In-person and other real-world marketing techniques have been seen as a dying breed for quite some time. Some people think that in a few years time, marketing in the real world will cost more than it's worth. If targeted marketing can reach you in your pocket computer, why would you ever care about a billboard? This is what is known as static marketing.
